About
James Marion Gatlin

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our Brother, James Marion Gatlin on April 19, 2025.
Jimmy was born in Charleston, SC on October 30, 1952 to Charles Durwood Gatlin and Elizabeth Hamlin Gatlin. He was co-owner in Gatlin's Landscaping with his identical twin Bobby, for over 45 years.
Jimmy enjoyed playing billiards, listening to music, adored his dogs and loved his landscaping work, making properties beautiful.
Jimmy is survived by his Brothers Bobby Gatlin, Jack Gatlin and his Sister DeDe Tyler, nephews Robert E. Coltrane, Jr. of Charleston, Charles Gatlin, III of Round Rock, Texas and niece Elizabeth Gatlin of El Paso, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his Father and Mother, Step-Mother Bobbie Jean Gatlin and his brother Charles Durwood Gatlin, Jr.
The family would like to express our sincere appreciation and gratitude to the many Doctors and caregivers at MUSC, also the Dialysis Clinic of Charleston that helped Jimmy throughout his last several years.
