Miller

James T. Miller of James Island died Saturday, February 15, 2025 at his home. He was born in Menominee, Michigan October 11, 1934, the only child of Emil and Rose Ellen Miller. He graduated from Lourdes High School and was a proud University of Michigan graduate majoring in chemical engineering. He spent his career as a salesman selling large equipment to industry, including setting up a sugar mill in South Africa.
Jim is survived by his wife Sylvia, Daughter Beth Miller Traynham (Jay) son Christopher (Nikki) and five grandchildren, Aaron (Cayla), Traynham, David Traynham and Emma Traynham; Lauren Miller and Weston Miller. Jim was a devoted Catholic, serving many capacities in the church. He gave communion to the homebound, served Meals on Wheels, was part of the RCIA program and participated in a small faith community. University of Michigan football was his passion - Go Blue!!. He also followed the Green Bay Packers, even getting the Green Bay Press GAzette daily during football season for many years. The funeral mass will be held on Friday, February 28th at 11:30 am at the Church of the Nativity 1061 Folly Road, Charleston, SC . Memorials may be made to Save the Light, P. O.
